I love to bake but cannot eat it.
If your health journey could be summed up by a single song, what would it be and why?
“She is a Warrior.” This is because I am a disabled veteran who has been through a lot and still continues to persevere.
What’s your favorite “trick” or strategy for getting through infusion day, whether it’s a specific snack, a movie, or a special playlist?
I have a special playlist on YouTube called, “When Life Gets Tough.” That playlist helps me get through tough days.
What’s a small victory you celebrated recently that other people might not understand?
Making it to my appointments and washing my hair, on the same day.
What’s the best piece of advice you have for an infusion nurse?
To please adhere to the recommendations from the patient, about their line care. We usually know a whole lot more about our line/our body, than the nurse caring for us.
What’s your go-to comfort food or activity after a long infusion day?
My go-to comforting activity after a long infusion day is to just chill and watch my favorite shows/movies. I’m usually watching live tv: “The People’s Court,” “Divorce Court,” or ION channel. I also watch Lifetime movies, on YouTube.
